Support Advisories

Please beware of the following advisories:

The New Outlook and FileCenter

The Email button and the Save Copy Outlook Addin will not work with the New Outlook because it is web-based. Our development team is aware of this and will be working on a new integration.

In the meantime, if you require these options to maintain efficiency, please switch back to the Old Outlook.

Alternatively, you can use drag and drop to add attachments to your email or you can use the "Attach" option in Outlook to select your attachment.

MalwareBytes

We have reports that MalwareBytes is interfering with FileCenter on multiple levels. Whitelisting FileCenter does not make a difference. For now, the only solution is to disable MalwareBytes.

My Receipts Are Missing

If you use FileCenter Receipts and your receipts are suddenly missing, see Missing Receipts in the Knowledge Base.

Norton Data Protector Prevents Installation

Norton Data Protector has begun raising a false positive during the installation of FileCenter. Some report that the error flags the "Tip003.png" file, which is a tutorial image that has been in FileCenter for years.

While we work with Norton on a solution, you should simply pause Data Protector during the install. That will let the install proceed without any problem.

Windows Update Affects Scanners

For many users, the most recent Windows update removes their scanner drivers. If your scanner stops working after the Windows update:

FIRST try restarting your computer. This restores the drivers for some users.

If you have the option, try re-running the update. This has worked for some users.

If all else fails, reinstall the scanner drivers yourself. You can download your drivers from your scanner maker's website.

More information is available on the Microsoft website »

NOTE: This is a Windows issue, not a FileCenter issue.
